The team at LBW Chartered Accountants know the value of helping out a non-profit organisation and enjoyed the day out of the office.
It also gave them an opportunity to interact with the residents of St Laurence Park, one resident stating how much they enjoyed the team from LBW helping them out and that the day was fun.
The LBW team used the activity as a team building event and were provided with a task list and separated into three groups. The group undertook the following tasks:
- Planted approximately 100 new plants for screening and to attract native wildlife
- Removed the arbour and sleepers from the pedestrian walkway entrance to the Park creating a new garden bed and adding sleepers to define parking areas in the gravel car park.
- Oiled the front post and rail fence.
Staff enjoyed the activity, with many commenting that it was nice to be given the opportunity to contribute in a physical way to improving the community.
St Laurence Park residents assisted on the day by cooking LBW staff a BBQ lunch.
Well done to the team at LBW for the example they have set by embracing Corporate Social Responsibility and producing a positive impact in the community.
