About Us

St Laurence Community Services was created in 1996 after the Brotherhood of St Laurence divested its Geelong region operations, establishing St Laurence as a new and independent organisation. Some of our services have been in continuous operation since 1958.

Over the years, St Laurence has become a major provider of human services, supporting many thousands of clients and their families each year.

As a not-for-profit organisation we rely heavily on government grants and community support to provide a wide range of services which include:

  • Residential aged care (high care/low care)
  • Supported housing services
  • Disability programs
  • Community-based services for older people and those experiencing disadvantage
  • Employment and Recruitment Services

Today, St Laurence operates from over twenty four sites, throughout the Barwon and Wimmera regions of Victoria, with over four hundred and fifty staff and around two hundred and fifty active volunteers.

St Laurence has a proud and well deserved reputation as a quality service provider and for meeting our mission of 'helping people help themselves'.
